A veteran is awarded a character of discharge when they separate from any military service. VA benefits, employability, and educational financial assistance can all be affected by a veteran’s discharge characterization. Our team can assist veterans with upgrading their military discharges.
We understand that discharge characterizations stem from many, many different reasons. A less than honorable can result from an underlying service-connected disability, such as PTSD; past behavior, such as drunken and disorderly conduct; or sometimes the branches of the uniformed services are simply wrong when they administer the discharge. Other times the events that were considered “bad” behavior by the military are no longer “bad” behavior.
Our team can assist veterans with discharge upgrades, or possibly obtaining VA benefits through a process called Character of Discharge Determination.
